Keeping Covid Safe At Your Taster Session

A HUGE welcome to your taster session at Clubbercise with Zarina! I'm delighted to to invite for your free taster at the current outdoor class at Bromfords Playground. I am looking forward to meeting you!!

As you know, these are unprecedented times and the health and wellbeing of yourselves, the wider community and myself is of the highest priority and so I have taken action to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 as much as I possibly can during our classes by putting together a Return To Classes Protocol, a COVID-19 Risk Assessment and a COVID-19 Response Plan so that you are fully prepared and clear on how we can best keep safe and for us to all feel happy and confident to attend classes.

Before coming to the outdoor Clubbercise classes you must read and understand the following information carefully and complete the form at the bottom of this page. Without doing so, you will not be able to attend Clubbercise with Zarina.

Return to Classes Protocol

How Classes Will Run:

  • Wednesday Classes will for the time being, be held outdoors in the Bromfords Playground. Please note: If the weather is very bad, the class will be held online via the danceyourselfhappy.me site in substitution (Please contact me if you need to be set up). In the scenario of bad weather, you will be notified on the Wednesday morning via the WhatsApp group messages.

  • The timing of the class will be from 6:55pm - 7:50pm. I would like everyone to arrive by 6:45 if possible so we have time to get in and settled ready to start as quickly as possible.

  • To attend a class, it is essential that you book your space via the Bookwhen system .

  • To access the class, you will drive in through the main school gates and drive straight (past the carpark on the right). You will see green gates ahead, go through these to reach the first playground which will be used as our car park. Once parked you will continue your journey on foot through to the second playground which veers round to the right where the class will be held.

  • Please follow social distancing rules of 2 metres apart when walking to and lining up to sign in before classes.

  • Hand sanitiser must be used on entry to the class by all participants and myself before and after class. Hand gel will be provided for you but you may bring your own if you wish.

  • When you sign in, your temperature will be taken using a contactless temperature gun (pointed to your forehead)  by the Instructor (who will be wearing a mask). If your temperature is 37.8C or higher, you will be sent home.

  • Social distancing measures will now be in place throughout the class which is a minimum of 2 meters distance at all times from each other) and 3 metres away from the Instructor (whilst she is teaching) because she will be speaking loudly throughout the session which may produce droplets.

  • There will be floor markers placed on the playground floor which will indicate your 'base' or starting point, so once you have signed in, go to a marker and use your spot as a guide for where to return to after walking sideways or forward and back throughout the class.

  • Before class and during water breaks, we will play a low volume of music or have no music on. This is so we don’t need to raise our voices.

  • There is a toilet that will be available, though I would encourage this is kept to a minimum where possible.

  • No equipment will be shared and at this time, there will be no sharing, lending or selling of glow-sticks. You are welcome to use ones that you currently own although whilst the evenings are light, it’s not necessary.

  • Wherever possible, please do not bring additional bags or unnecessary clothing (water bottle and personal towel is ok). Think minimalist!

  • Please space your water and belongings round the edge with 2 metres distance from the next person where possible. During water breaks, be mindful to to keep your distance from others as you walk to and from your water.

How You Must Prepare for Class:

  • It is absolutely essential that you book (and cancel) your classes via the Bookwhen system . According to the Government guidelines on outdoor class capacity, there is a maximum number of 30 spaces available (including the instructor).

  • If you can no longer attend a class that you’ve booked on to, you must cancel your space via the bookwhen system with as much notice as possible so someone else can take your space. Ideally a minimum of 24 hours notice.

  • On the day of your class, please stay at home if:

    • you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) or someone you live with has symptoms.

    • you test positive for COVID-19, or live with someone who has tested positive.

    • someone in your support bubble or someone you have been in contact with has symptoms or has tested positive.

    • you're told by NHS Test & Trace that you've been in contact with a person with COVID-19

  • If you suspect that you or a member of your household has contracted or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 please use the NHS Test & Trace service.

  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, please inform Zarina immediately on 07984 663 764. All medical information will be kept private; however, we must follow the NHS Test &Trace procedure and this may involve informing some clients that someone has tested positive for COVID-19. This will be done anonymously where possible.

  • Please ensure you are dressed in your sports clothes before arriving to class.

  • Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the class starts where possible. If you arrive late, you will need to wait for a water break so that Zarina can sign you in properly and take your temperature before you join the class.

  • Whilst queueing and at all other times, please keep at least 2 metres apart where possible.

  • When arriving or when leaving the class, please sanitise your hands.

During Class:

  • Keep at least 2 metres apart at all times possible.

  • Avoid shouting or singing loudly.
